Coach Flewellings Humanitarian Trip To Africa

Coach Flewellings Humanitarian Trip To Africa

Hello field hockey players, parents and coaches - As some of you know our head field hockey coach Karen Flewelling is heading to Africa shortly on a humanitarian mission to aid the people in Guinea and Tanzania in their efforts to obtain suitable drinking water. Please take a moment and read her note below. If it is within your abilities to help her fund this worth while mission please do so. All gifts are tax deducible. Karen pays for all of her own expenses so 100% of all donated funds go right to the building of wells in these rural areas.

Capitalland has donated to this life changing cause.

From Karen Flewelling -

I need your help again!!
I leave for Africa April 5 to help those in need.

DRILL WELLS IN GUINEA, AFRICA

Working with CCCS (Children's Christian Concern Society), I would like to drill two wells and also construct toilets. Cholera, diarrhea, and dysentery are prevalent in this Country due to polluted water. A well will give them potable water. The cost for this Project will be over $5500.

DRILL WELLS IN TANZANIA, AFRICA

The need for potable water in Tanzania is great. It is estimated that women and girls spend up to 6 hours each day, traveling 8 miles, to transport water for cooking, bathing, and laundry. And the water is not fit for drinking. Working with African Reflections I hope to drill 2 wells that will bring them potable water. The cost for each bore hole well is $8000.

I pay my own way so each contribution goes 100% to these people. Your tax deductible donation can be made out to St. Paul's Lutheran Church and sent to 86 Meadowbrook Rd., Saratoga Springs, NY 12866.

You can see what I have done in the past on my Blog at karenflewelling.blogspot.com

Thank you in advance,

Karen Flewelling 587-4552
