Play for the Cure!

Dear Ladies..

On Thursday, October 22 (Varsity/JV), and Saturday, October 24 (Modified), Scotia Glenville Field Hockey will participate in a "Play for the Cure" Game with Queensbury. I have received the packet from Longstreth with our wrist bands. This is the second annual event and with our help, it will bring our world one step closer to finding a cure for breast cancer. Please go to www.play4thecure.com for details regarding the program. All monies donated will go to Susan B Komen for the cure and American Cancer Society. This is a wonderful way for all of us to help our world become a better place!

At our games, we will have a donation table available for friends, relatives, teachers and teammates to make a donation towards this great cause. You can each do your part by spreading the word and asking for donations. If that is not an option for you, you could collect cans and do your own little bottle drive in your neighborhood. Our goal is to raise $500. from all three teams. We have started with a $100. donation. We have two weeks until this game for each of you to go out and do your part. We have a poster being printed for approval and distribution to all schools. Please do your part and try to raise a minimum of $20. We will have Play for the cure wristbands and pink ribbons available for a $1.00 donation as well as other items. Looking forward to the start of a great tradition at SG! Go Lady Tartans!
